Swapan Mehta is the Founder and CEO of Shooting Saaheb. He is also fondly addressed as Kitty by his friends and clients alike.
Swapan is an engineer by profession who dived into the world of photography in his early days and started pursuing it as a hobby. With every new image he clicked, his passion grew deeper which inspired him to take it up professionally. It was sooner than he thought, he was already seizing lovely moments at weddings and parties.
Swapan’s passion for photography and creating beautiful digital stories resonates in his every endeavor. His obsession for the best is perpetual and percolates down to his team mates, inspiring them to match his unparalleled fervor and deliver their best.
Swapan is tech-friendly and loves to keep himself updated with latest equipment in the market. His innate ability to envision beyond one’s imagination allows him to employ ideas and infuse them with cutting edge technology to unfurl the perfect tale.
Vandana was a lecturer by trade until she met her partner in business and in life.
She has a postgraduate degree in English literature and industry experience of 8 years as a lecturer. She is tech-savvy and is passionate about implementing new technology to best serve our clients. She forms our all important backbone to ensure that we always deliver the best possible products to customers, she’s also an inspiration for someone trying to make a mark in an industry which is different to the one that you specialise in. After quitting her job and taking a sabbatical for a couple years, she returned to the industry to take Shooting Saaheb to the next level. She has this creative knack in her which triggers the photographer in her to see the beauty in small details. She is witty, intelligent, artistic and humorous and thus handles all the backend stuff.
Making a name in this ever-changing industry is difficult, but Swapan and Vandana as a couple have sailed through really tough times to be knackered by these conditions. They have harvested their talent and invested their time and energy in the right places to ensure that their dream of making Shooting Saaheb a known brand in the industry is successful. They try their best to keep each other entertained despite being together for so long thus ensuring there are no dull moments when they are around. They come from such varying backgrounds but manage to blend together very well and have made a mark in the photography industry. Vandana jokes “We have grown as people together, learned so much from each other, we’ve transformed each other so much so that our stories could make really good character development cases in movies.”
